Group member list or subscriber list should have a sorting option. So that admin or other will be able to know who are the new members in the community or group. However, the admin can decide the sorting order for the rest of the members as well.

Could a tally marker display on groups and sections to let you know where new/unread posts and comments are at when you log into the forum? This would allow a member to quickly catch up with information they missed while offline.
